Twenty years back, if someone spoke about earning money online, it would have been considered unrealistic and funny. Ten years ago, if someone thought about making money online without investment, it would have received a similar reaction. Lucky for you and me, we are in the 21st century.

Duh, we already know that! I bet this is one of the most common ways to earning money online without investment. But, I am here to take it a bit further. You see, there are freelancers today dime a dozen (with due respect to those who slog hard and make money). To prove this point, the popular freelancing platform UpWork says that today 53 million Americans are freelancing. That is a staggering 34% of the U.S workforce!

Another platform called Fiverr has 3.42 million active buyers alone as of 2021. So, imagine how many sellers are hanging out on that website. Then there is Freelancer.com and, I do not wish to go the stats anymore. Did you get my drift? Being a freelancer is not enough. You have to drill it a notch down. Go specific, zoom in and zero in on one particular skill. Go after your passion.

But Prits, I do not have a marketable skill set. What do I do? Go out there and get it! Many people are not born naturals in whatever they do. But they are aware of this fact and chase the necessary skills. To conclude, instead of writing general articles for clients, go for business articles or search engine optimized travel articles.

Share the room with the guest if that is something you are comfortable doing. Alternatively, If you have a spare room, then even better. You can charge a premium and provide a private room with a washroom facility.

Many platforms can help you get started right away. For example, Canva is one of the best free platforms that make everything graphic look easy. Here is the Canva platform for you to get going right now.

I also recommend you have a look at Shutterstock and submit your work to make passive income. There are six tiers or levels that you can climb and make more money on the platform. To progress, customers on Shutterstock must buy and license your photos. The more they do this, you level up and earn more commission. These payments range from 15-40%. 

If you wish to travel the world, click pictures and make some money doing it, then this is what you want to do! Make sure you take stunning images and create a product that customers will be mesmerized to buy more from the platform.

Creating online courses is cumbersome (yet rewarding) and requires commitment, discipline, hard work. Why not make the life of these professors easier by taking on the course content?

You could do the research, write the material, create additional literature like resources, e-books, whitepapers, among other things. Better yet, how about writing video scripts for these courses? Once you are confident that you can add value to small businesses right away, take this leap.

To be a consultant, you need to be an expert first. Identify your strengths and work on them. You do not need to invest anything to become a business consultant. To get started, start with social media and build your portfolio. Regularly share content in your area of expertise and add value upfront for your audience. Once you grow your following, you will see that people will reach out to you for help. You can help them achieve their online aspirations and charge them by the hour or as a project.
